Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of mariamdecor.com and any order you place through it. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to them. Please read them before ordering.

1. Who we are

The site is operated by Mariam Decor, based in Ajman, United Arab Emirates. References to "we", "us" and "our" mean Mariam Decor. References to "you" mean the person using the site or placing an order.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to place an order. By ordering, you confirm that the information you give us is accurate and complete.

3. Our products

Every piece is cast, cured, sanded and sealed by hand in small batches. Small differences in colour, tone, edges, ridges and surface texture between pieces are a natural characteristic of hand casting and are not defects. Product photographs are taken as accurately as we can, but screen settings affect how colour appears, and the piece you receive may differ slightly in tone.

Product dimensions given on the site are approximate and may vary by a few millimetres.

4. Prices and availability

All prices are shown in UAE dirhams (AED). Any applicable taxes and the delivery charge are shown at checkout before payment is confirmed.

We may change prices, add or withdraw products, and correct pricing or description errors at any time. If an obvious error affects an order you have already placed, we will contact you and offer either the corrected price or a full refund.

All items are subject to availability. Because pieces are made in small batches, an item shown as available may occasionally sell out before your order is confirmed. In that case we will contact you and offer a substitute, a later delivery date, or a full refund.

5. Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed only when we confirm your order by WhatsApp or email. We may decline an order where the item is unavailable, the address is outside our delivery area, payment is not authorised, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.

6. Payment

All orders are paid online at checkout through a secure, encrypted connection. Cash on delivery is not available. We do not see or store your full card details; payment is handled by our payment provider.

7. Delivery

Delivery is charged at a flat AED 20 within the United Arab Emirates and takes 5 to 7 working days from order confirmation. Full terms, including redelivery charges and risk in the goods, are set out in our Shipping Policy, which forms part of these terms.

8. Returns, refunds and damage

Damaged pieces are replaced or refunded when reported within 48 hours of delivery. Change-of-mind returns are accepted within 7 days, under the conditions set out in our Return and Refund Policy, which forms part of these terms.

9. Custom and made-to-order pieces

Custom, personalised and bulk orders are quoted separately and confirmed in writing. They are made specifically for you and cannot be cancelled once production has begun, and they are not eligible for change-of-mind returns. The damage cover in our Return and Refund Policy still applies.

10. Care and intended use

Our pieces are decorative homeware. They are sealed and water resistant, but they are not food-safe unless stated, not dishwasher safe, and not intended for outdoor use or for holding hot items. Concrete and jesmonite are brittle and can chip or break if dropped. We are not responsible for damage caused by use outside these conditions.

11. Intellectual property

All content on this site, including product designs, photographs, text, the Mariam Decor name and logo, belongs to us and is protected by law. You may not copy, reproduce, resell or use it commercially without our written permission.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the site unlawfully, to interfere with its operation or security, to place fraudulent orders, or to extract its content by automated means.

13. Reviews and submissions

If you submit a review, photograph or comment, you confirm it is your own and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display and use it in connection with our store and marketing. We may remove content that is unlawful, offensive or misleading.

14. Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, our total liability in connection with any order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including courier disruption, public holidays and force majeure.

15. Privacy

We handle personal data as described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that applies to that order.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Emirate of Ajman.
