مريم بدأت في استوديو صغير، بقالب سيليكون واحد وشوية جيسمونايت. أول قطع عملناها كانت أطباق صغيرة، والطلبات اللي بعدها جت من ناس مسكت القطع دي بإيديها وحست الفرق.
ليه الكونكريت والجيسمونايت؟
لأنهم بيمسكوا التفاصيل الدقيقة، وبياخدوا تشطيب مطفي هادي، وبيبانوا أتقل من شكلهم. كل قطعة بتتصنفر بالإيد وبتتحمي، عشان تقدر تعيش على رخامة الحمام أو على سفرة من غير ما تتبقع.
إزاي بنشتغل
كل قطعة بتاخد تلات أيام في الاستوديو. بتتخلط وتتصب في اليوم الأول، بتتشال من القالب وتتعالج في اليوم التاني، وبتتصنفر وتتحمي في التالت. لو استعجلنا عليها بتتشقق.
كميات صغيرة، وده مقصود
بنخلط بكميات صغيرة لأن درجة الكريمي بتختلف شوية بين خلطة وخلطة. تطابق الطقم عندنا أهم من إننا نعمل مية قطعة زي بعض.
شغل مخصص
لو عايزة حاجة بمقاس أو لون مش موجود عندنا، أو طلب بالجملة لفرح أو مناسبة — كلمينا على الواتساب. الشغل المخصص هو أغلب اللي بنعمله.
Mariam began in a small studio with one silicone mould and a bag of jesmonite. The first pieces were small trays, and the orders that followed came from people who had held one in their hands.
Why concrete and jesmonite
They hold fine detail, take a soft matte finish, and feel heavier than they look. Every piece is sanded by hand and sealed, so it can live on a bathroom counter or a dining table without staining.
How we work
Each piece spends three days in the studio. It is mixed and poured on day one, released from the mould and cured on day two, then sanded and sealed on day three. Rush it and it cracks.
Small batches, on purpose
We mix in small batches because the cream tone shifts slightly between them. Matching a set matters more to us than making a hundred of the same thing.
